Is ION* like a probiotic or enzyme? ION* is not a direct source of prebiotics, probiotics or enzymes. It does not contain any bacteria. We need a more diverse microbiome, not one that is achieved by replicating the same strands of bacteria over and over again (this monoculture is what happens when we take probiotics). What makes ION* unique is that it naturally enhances the diversity of your personal microbiome. Adults and children 4 years and older:
To maintain gut-brain health, we recommend taking 1 teaspoon of ION* Gut Support orally 3 times daily. Because ION* Gut Support protects against gluten and glyphosate, it is best taken 30 minutes before a meal for optimal gut support, but you can take it before, during, or immediately after a meal (or on an empty stomach) and still get the benefits.

Sensitive Adult Use:
Initial effects of ION* Gut Support may vary, with many customers reporting rapid and dramatic early effects. These effects are not a direct effect of the supplement itself, but rather reflect the innate processes that occur in the body when the firewall system is functioning optimally. However, a subset of people may experience symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, increased bloating/gas, or intestinal changes. If you feel you may be sensitive to changes that may occur as your innate defenses and ability to absorb water/nutrients are restored, we recommend a slow approach. Start with 1/8 teaspoon of ION* Gut Support daily and slowly increase to the recommended label amount as tolerated.

Humic extract is derived from ancient soil (~60 million years old) and contains a mixture of bacterial metabolites (aka fulvic acids) and less than 1% of various trace minerals and amino acids, including chloride, sodium, lithium, calcium, phosphorus, sulfur, bromine, potassium, iron, antimony, zinc, copper, gold, magnesium, alanine, glycine, histidine, isoleucine, methionine, threonine, and valine.

Please note that all trace minerals in our humic extract are naturally occurring, well below the RDI, and are not intended to supplement any deficiencies. The truly active compounds in humic extract are the fulvic acids, a unique family of carbon molecules with oxygen binding sites that are produced by bacteria as they digest nutrients. These molecules are the backbone of the ION* blend, aiding in key functions such as cellular and microbial communication and nutrient chelation.

Since ION* is an all-natural product, color and flavor may vary, and some bottles may even contain sediment. Color variation ranges from very light caramel to a darker caramel color. Flavor may also vary, from almost no flavor to a stronger mineral flavor. Changes in color and/or flavor are neither uncommon nor harmful.
